Ladies – offered the choice of a millionaire, a famous actor, an international sports star and a bloke who can reliably fix things when they fall apart, which would you choose?
Well, the answer – if you live Down Under at least – seems to be the man with a full set of spanners. That’s according to the Australian Women’s Weekly, that world-renowned publisher of cookery books.
Its editor-in-chief Helen McCabe described the tradesman’s lifestyle as getting up early, knocking off early then going for a beer – something that was pretty desirable for women. “Australian women are very down to earth and that’s reflected in this result,” she added.
