DIY giant B&Q is demystifying the art of do it yourself with a series of events around the country to help us all brush up on our skills.

It is offering the chance for customers who visit participating stores until November 6 to catch friendly, City and Guilds-qualified staff demonstrating popular skills including plumbing, joinery, wallpapering and using power tools.
Check out the web link above for a list of participating stores, where activities will take place on Monday to Thursday between 5pm and 8pm, on Friday between 7am and 12pm, and on Saturday from 12pm to 6pm.
You’ll be able to pick up tips and advice, check out new product ranges and watch demonstrations. No booking is required but you can call your local participating store for more details.
